We look forward to hearing from you!Job Title: Project Manager/ AnalystLocation: Hybrid – Go into either the Rosemead or Alhambra office 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday)Duration: 12 MonthsRate: $65/hr on W2Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager / Analyst to support and oversee power systems projects across planning, execution, and reporting phases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in project management, deep analytical capabilities, and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI. This individual will serve as a key liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure timely and efficient project delivery with clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track project scope, timelines, deliverables, and risks for utility-focused power systems projects (e.g., grid modernization, substation upgrades, DER integration).
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to collect, analyze, and interpret project data.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Create high-impact Excel models, reports, and PowerPoint presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive process improvements using data-driven insights to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Support inventory management and reporting to ensure accurate tracking of materials, equipment, and resources across project sites.
  • Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure clear understanding of project goals and data reporting needs.
  • Support budget tracking, cost-benefit analysis, and resource planning efforts.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with project governance and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, data analysis, or related roles within the energy, utility, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros, etc.), PowerPoint, and other Office tools.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization/reporting tools is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of electric power systems, grid operations, or utility business processes is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification.
  • Familiarity with utility regulatory compliance or NERC/CIP standards.
  • Experience working with SQL or scripting tools (Python, VBA) for data manipulation.
  • Exposure to tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project tracking platforms.
  • Knowledge of SCADA, EMS, GIS, or asset management systems is a bonus
