This full time position requires a professional that will have superb Network capabilities and deep knowledge of networking protocols, configuration, LAN/WAN and Cisco Technologies.Joining on as the Senior IT Network Engineer means working amongst a team who are masters in their disciplines. Through your work you will be maintaining and improving systems that are paramount to treating thousands of children across the state. You will also be given the opportunity to pass down your knowledge and delegate tasks to incoming Network Professionals. This role is perfect for experienced individuals who are comfortable completing tasks independently, with little oversight.Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience with Cisco/Juniper, Network Routing, Data Centers and LAN/WAN management
  • 3-5 years wireless network technology
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Administration or related fields
  • Exceptional proficiency in Networking Protocols (OSPF, BGP, DHCP)
  • Security and Network Troubleshooting knowledge
  • Upgrading and improving Network capabilities

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with monitoring and security practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Programming and scripting skills
  • Network experience in enterprise setting

What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown

  • 70% Network Infrastructure (Cisco, LAN/WAN, Wireless)
  • 20% Monitoring and Troubleshooting (OSPF, DHCP, DNS)
  • 10% Coding or scripting (Python, Java)

Daily Responsibilities

  • Monitor, improve and maintain Network Infrastructures and Security
  • Collaborates with adjacent IT teams to implement Network designs
  • Works independently to complete projects and fulfill support tickets
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain efficiency
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot Network issues and bugs
